In my own generation, LIFESTYLE was a term that was associated with social clubbing and a sense of accomplishment through peer pressure. By the time we were teenagers, the concept of the LIFESTYLE had been redefined by major social changes: the end of the war, the coming of television, the rise of the automobile and the changing styles of clothing. Our values shifted and our habits followed suit. Now, instead of a LIFESTYLE being a family activity, it was now associated with partying, drinking, frequent trips to the liquor store and a general lack of concern for one’s own health and well-being.

The problem is that these lifestyle changes lead not only to increased body fat but also a loss of self-confidence and motivation. This means that when you want to lose weight, you have to begin to change your habits.
